Isle of Man, 3rd June 2015 – The Space Data Association (SDA) has further increased its membership, with ORBCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: ORBC) and TÜRKSAT being the latest satellite operators to join. This follows an announcement earlier this year when Telenor Satellite Broadcasting joined the SDA.
The SDA is an international non-profit association of satellite operators that supports the controlled, reliable and efficient sharing of space environment and RF spectrum data. Its membership is comprised of many of the world’s major satellite communications companies.
As well as benefiting from the SDA’s reliable space environment data and connections to other members, data contributions from ORBCOMM and TÜRKSAT will enable the SDA to increase the supply of reliable and usable information to satellite operators across the globe.

TÜRKSAT provides broadcasting, data communication, teleport, cable TV, cable internet, e-Government IT services. It operates satellites over Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
