2022 Flight Dynamics Meeting

Join us for a Flight Dynamics Meeting, taking place on Monday, November 30th from 13:00 -16:00 UTC. We will once again be hosting a Flight Dynamics Meeting for our members. The SDA Flight Dynamics meetings are a chance for FD professionals from across our members to get together, discuss current technical challenges and opportunities and understand the latest FD developments within the SDA. This collaboration is becoming all the more important as space continues to get more crowded and complex. SDA Members Only FD Meeting

SDA Members ONLY February, 15th 2023. 15:00 UTC  As you are hopefully aware, the SDA has been working with ComSpoc to enhance the Space Data Center (SDC) and to provide a better service to all of our members. As part of this process, a new SDC interface will be released soon. We would like to invite you to watch a demonstration of the new website functionalities and user interface. This is going to be a great opportunity to get familiar with new SDC and ask any questions you might have so we really hope you can join us.

The Space Data Association will be attending GOVSATCOM 2023 on the 23rd February.  The event will take place at the European Convention Centre in Luxembourg, and will bring together experts from the satellite, governmental, institutional and defence fields to discuss all things Defence and Security.  Our Member, Charlie Law, Senior Manager, Flight Dynamics at SES, will be taking part in a panel session at 14:30 to discuss: ‘The many THREATS to Space Systems and Capabilities: from interference, space debris to space situational awareness’  View the agenda and register for the event here.

Satellite 2023

This year’s SATELLITE conference takes place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC, from March 13th to 16th.  The Space Data Association (SDA) will of course be there to connect with stakeholders from across the space and satellite communities.  SDA Chairman Joe Chan will be taking part in a panel session on March 13th at 10.45am on: ‘Space Domain Awareness: Protecting Assets in Orbit and on Earth’ This session will start with explaining the importance of broad collaboration on space awareness and then highlight key advancements in space awareness and tracking capabilities, including advanced AI and machine learning algorithms. Speakers will also address the ramp-up in anti-satellite testing and explain the danger these events create for the entire space economy.
