What is the Space Data Center?

The Space Data Center (SDC) is a platform that ingests flight dynamics information from the member companies as well as other available sources of space object information to provide conjunction assessment and warning services. It is operated by SDA’s trusted technology partner,  COMSPOC. Utilising a machine to machine interface, the SDC is an extremely effective and highly secure mechanism for the sharing of operational data The SDC is continuously available due to its distributed, multiple-redundant and high-availability architecture.

How does the SDC work?

The SDC utilises the member provided ephemerides, with integrated manoeuvre information and fuses this with TLE (Two Line Elements) and SP (Special Perturbation) data from the public catalogue. The best way to ensure you get timely and accurate warnings is to become a member and provide ephemerides to the Space Data Center.
